The Imperial Army abandoned the encampment it had painstakingly built and pulled its troops back to the existing defensive position, where there were no bypass routes the enemy could exploit.

The Imperial Army, which had been preparing for battle in earnest to deceive Caligo, digging pits for the Artillery Corps and completing their deployment, spent a considerable amount of time preparing their defenses again after retreating.

At least they finished their preparations faster than Caligo could thoroughly search the entire forest.
