But I Have a Companion Now

"Can we trust that pearl?"

ㄴHeavenly Secrets Pavilion Master: It's a magical artifact called a Heart-Questioning Pearl. It measures the karma of killing, merit, and demonic energy.

"If I use that, people won't crowd around me like they did for the Bigu Pills, right?"

ㄴHeavenly Secrets Pavilion Master: Unless you tell them what the conditions are, it'll be hard to keep them away. Building up merit is no easy task.

"If a ton of people crowd around me like they did for the Bigu Pills... Ugh. I'll be making nothing but Bigu Pills all day long."

ㄴHeavenly Secrets Pavilion Master: There are other useful magical artifacts, you know.

"No, it's fine. More importantly, is it okay for ordinary people to use the Flame Swords I made?"

ㄴHeavenly Secrets Pavilion Master: In the hands of mortals, they're just sharp swords. Only cultivators can wield them properly.

"So if a cultivator uses one, it catches fire?"

ㄴHeavenly Secrets Pavilion Master: Beginners will have a hard time controlling it. If they can't, they'll be exhausted in no time...
