“You’d better come back soon. I don’t want to be alone with her.”

Belver smiled awkwardly and stepped away.

He had something he needed to do right now, rather than spend time with the two of them.

This was exactly when the cultists were supposed to launch their first attack on the academy.

There was no point telling someone, “The cultists are about to attack right here!” No one would believe him, so he had to go himself.

Fortunately, he knew exactly where they would strike, so finding the place was easy.

The attackers this time were weak enough that he could take them all down in one go if things went well.
