Backbreaking Work

“All the civilian hunters inside the erosion zone have been evacuated outside. The personnel left in the outer area are all hunters from the response bureau, so you may begin without any problems.”

“Confirmed.”

Immediately after Ophelia received a report from Dmitri Vasilyev, the team leader of the Andreeva Bay erosion-zone response base, the soldiers and captains gathered on the outer edge of the front line hurriedly began deploying their forces.

“You all heard that ㅡ !!”

As planned, the operation to shrink the erosion zone began at 7:00 p.m. With the help of cavalry units with high mobility, they encircled the center of the erosion zone in a ring and sealed off a total of 212 degrees, excluding the coastline.

Centered on the core, the blockade area had a radius of about 8 km, and the front line the Eve Project had to hold stretched to around 30 km—a vast area that was not easy to cover even with such a huge force.

The ones still left inside were Awakened wearing standard radiation shielding suits and equipped with high-purity mana sprayers capable of purifying the erosion zone. You might think Awakened couldn't wear ordinary radiation suits, but.

That only means the suit can't keep up with the Awakened's superhuman movements and gets torn apart; its shielding function when worn is perfectly fine. These people aren't going to be fighting anyway—they're only going to use the mana sprayers.

“Princess, your command.”...
