Is This Really Necessary?

A few days later.

I came to tour the academy with Ophelia. We were just planning to take a quick look at the exterior and the large sparring field inside. I’m not really sure why they insist on calling a school an academy, but apparently that’s the trend.

Apartment names are stuff like Super-Duper-Ultimate-Super-Ultra-High City Tower, so I guess schools are trying to sound cool in English too.

“So this is Seoul Aegis Academy.”

“That’s right.”

The walls are huge, and the grounds are enormous. They built it on top of Mount Cheonggye, and the slope is pretty steep, so without a car it’d be hard to walk up here.

It’s on the Seocho border, so it isn’t that far, but of course it’s not walking distance. Since underage Awakeners come here from all over the country, there’s naturally a dormitory too. But I don’t really want to live in a dorm, right? Home is more comfortable.

It’s divided into regular elementary and middle school facilities that teach general subjects and special school facilities that teach hunter-related studies, and it sounds like even non-Awakened students attend the elementary and middle school.

There’s no non-Awakened high school. Middle school is the end of compulsory education, and after that you don’t really need to study anything unless you want to, so the special school apparently teaches hunter-related subjects much more professionally than the elementary and middle divisions...
