I took a stance.

I lowered my body and spread my legs.

I circulated my mana, froze the ground, and slowed time.

All for one strike. One single thrust.

Ian, too, seemed ready; concentrated mana was trapped in his sword, swirling wildly.

Now it was only a matter of seeing who was stronger.
