No, they’d set it up themselves.

Looking back through history, when a country’s economy was in trouble, its leaders often grew corrupt, indulged their own desires, and brought about its downfall.

North Korea was no different.

Its economy was a complete mess, yet the people at the top thought only of their own greed and empty formalities.

In the end, history was repeating itself.

All I’d done to make history unfold that way was shake the economy and corrupt the loyal officials who might have led the country well,

and quietly provide the would-be coup leaders, through our alliance, with a little funding and weapons from the United States, Russia, and South Korea wherever they needed them.
