After the first Live Broadcast successfully ended, many things happened.
Among them, the most memorable was undoubtedly the Sign Games Chairman's apology at a public event.
Sign Games ultimately failed to quell the Gacha Probability Manipulation Controversy.
I heard that even small-scale protests occurred at their Headquarters in Japan, a country where protests are almost unheard of.
Unable to endure, Sign Games' Director and all Operating Staff bowed their heads in apology, but to no avail.
Only after the Sign Games Chairman stepped forward and apologized at a public event was the public opinion finally appeased.
Of course, while public opinion quieted down, they ultimately failed to recover public sentiment, and their Sales Ranking plummeted to 3rd place.
Conversely, we became the biggest beneficiaries of this situation.
Reverse Arcadia's Active User count increased by at least three times compared to Right After Launch, and the Secondary Creation Scene grew even more.
To give you an idea of the scale, the Server Hosting Provider even contacted us due to the suddenly increased Concurrent Users.
Anyway, what was I doing in the current situation, where any Game Director would be overjoyed and feeling like they were flying?
I was sitting in my Personal Office, deep in thought.
And what was that thought?
The Korean Server.
It was literally about the Korean Server Launch.
In fact, the deliberation over the Korean Server Launch was not a new issue.
Ever since the Girls Memorial days, one of the recurring questions was always, “When will the Korean Server launch?”
However, during Girls Memorial, both Users and Hojin had implicitly agreed that a Korean Server Launch was premature.
That's why the demand for a Korean Server Open wasn't that strong back then, but Reverse Arcadia was different.
The implicit agreement had already been broken, at which point the image and perception of Subculture itself had risen at the current point in time.
Moreover, Reverse Arcadia's popularity had grown too much compared to Girls Memorial.
With loyal Users who came from Girls Memorial, fans of Ishida Kei, and even Users from other games,
The number of people was at least several times greater than that at Girls Memorial, so the demand for a Korean Server Open naturally grew louder.
Ultimately, it was only a matter of time; a Korean Server launch was inevitable.
After much deliberation, I left a message for Yumi and Suyeon.
***
Yumi, whom I hadn't seen in months, looked largely the same.
“Long time no see~, Director.”
“Yes, long time no see. Was the GM Studio matter resolved well?”
“It was resolved, but... it really grinds my gears~.”
Yumi's expression, rarely seen, was tinged with annoyance, as if she had truly suffered.
“Really? Myeonghun-hyung told me a bit about it, but how bad was it?”
“I definitely finished the Handover and moved over here, but then I got a call that the PM had run away, and when I went to check, everything was just a mess~.”
“It was that bad?”
“When I did the Handover, they seemed diligent... but I guess you really can't judge a person by their appearance alone~.”
As she spoke, Yumi sighed, and I handed her a can of coffee.
“Thank you... But I've finished the new Handover, so there shouldn't be any problems for a while~.”
Myeonghun-hyung always complained whenever we met, and this was the reason why....
It was regrettable to see Myeonghun's face growing increasingly tired.
But for today, I had something to do, so I pushed thoughts of Myeonghun to the back of my mind and spoke to Yumi.
“Yumi.”
“Yes~.”
“The Korean Server Launch has been confirmed.”
“Oh, really~?”
“Yes, it's a matter that even the CEO has approved.”
Surprisingly, Yumi didn't seem particularly surprised by my words and maintained a calm expression.
“You're not as surprised as I thought?”
“I kind of expected it.”
“Really? Then it'll be easy to talk about. To put it simply, I plan to exclude the Publisher and even the Chocolate Talk platform entirely for this Korean Server.”
At my words, Yumi asked back with a surprised expression.
“It's true that we don't necessarily need to entrust operations to a Publisher, but wouldn't it be a bit difficult if we exclude the Chocolate Talk platform too~? ”
I shook my head at Yumi's question.
For most Game Companies, abandoning Chocolate Talk's accessibility would indeed be a crazy thing to do.
It would be like shooting oneself in the foot.
But that was only applicable from the perspective of an ordinary Game Company; from my standpoint, it was a mere burden.
Reverse Arcadia didn't need promotion enough to rely on Chocolate Talk's accessibility, nor did it need to actively gather Users.
From the start, with tens of thousands of prospective Users eager to play as soon as it launched, there was no reason to put ourselves in a subordinate position by paying commissions.
Furthermore, having to develop new social UI or systems based on Chocolate Talk was another reason I hesitated.
“Why do Game Developers try so hard to get onto Chocolate Talk in the first place?”
“Well, of course, because Chocolate Talk is the National SNS~?”
I nodded at Yumi's answer and replied.
“Exactly. Because Chocolate Talk is the National SNS, if the promotion happens to be a huge success, you can literally rake in users.”
As my throat was dry, I took a sip of coffee while talking then continued.
“But that's for small and medium-sized Game Companies that are desperate for Users and need to generate profit. We, on the other hand, have no reason to go there and even pay commissions.”
“Oh... that's certainly true~.”
Yumi, seemingly understanding the explanation, nodded and asked me.
“If there's no contract with a Publisher or Chocolate Talk, what should I do?”
“First, draft a proposal. Then, based on that plan, I'll set the schedule.”
Yumi nodded at my words.
“How long do you think it'll take to finish the proposal?”
Yumi seemed to ponder my question for a moment, then opened her mouth.
“I think about a week will be enough.”
“Alright, then let's aim for you to finish and send it by next Monday. Got it?”
“I'll do that~.”

One week later.
I distributed the proposal Yumi had drafted to the team members in the Conference Room, the meeting place.
Yerin, Seol, Yumi, and Taeseon, a total of four, were the people gathered in the Conference Room.
The remaining personnel were not called because they were not related to the Korean Server Launch schedule.
Though those were only two people, Yena and Chaeyoung.
“Everyone here today knows why I called you, right?”
The Team Members nodded at my question.
“Alright then... first, Yerin?”
“Yes?”
“What are you working on these days?”
At my sudden question, Yerin seemed to ponder for a moment, then opened her mouth.
“I'm currently finishing the Final Boss Illustration for the Crisis Response Agreement content that will be updated in two months, and after that, I plan to start on the Design Rough for New Characters.”
“Alright, then could you perhaps delay the Final Boss Illustration Finish a little and start on the Work written in the proposal first?”
At my request, Yerin took the proposal and began to check it.
“Open Countdown Illustration for the Korean Server, three chapters, congratulatory illustrations, and other UI Images – this shouldn't be too difficult, right?”
“Exactly. We're not developing a new game, but re-releasing an existing one.”
“By when do you need it done?”
“It's scheduled to launch exactly two months from now, and the Countdown will begin one week before that, so will it be by mid-next month?”
Yerin, who had been thinking carefully about my words, nodded readily.
“I think I can manage that.”
“Great. I'm counting on you.”
Leaving Yerin, who had received her assignment and was leaving the Conference Room, I looked at Seol and Taeseon.
“Seol and Taeseon, there's something I need both of you to do together... First, Seol. When we were developing, did you create the Korean script first and then translate it into Japanese?”
Seol nodded at my question.
“Y-yes... I wrote the script in Korean first and then translated it into Japanese...”
“Then go back and immediately hand it over to the Korean Script Development Team, and I'll announce the next schedule separately since it's complex... Next, Taeseon?”
“Ah, yes, Director.”
“Korea has a higher Android Market Share compared to Japan, so make sure to thoroughly quality check the Android version, and the Pity System must be applied in its current version, specifically. Understood?”
“Understood. Anything else...?”
“Anything else? Not really. Just please be thorough with the Quality Check.”
“I'll keep that in mind.”
Once Seol and Taeseon had also left, only Yumi and I remained in the Conference Room.
“As I mentioned last week, I'll be difficult to reach at the office for a while due to external commitments, so if anything happens, contact me immediately. Understood?”
Yumi nodded and replied at my strong admonition.
“Leave it to me~!”
