We had a pretty tough fight, but we won! Good work!
37. Anonymous Defender
Those beast demons were strong.
The monster players who tagged along were troublesome too, though.
38. Anonymous Defender
>>37 There really was a monster player mixed in there, huh?
There are probably plenty of them who take the stance that they won't cooperate with humanity.
39. Anonymous Defender
>>38 Of course. They're treated so unfairly.
I was actually impressed when I found out there had been a secret event. They're really trying to accommodate all kinds of playstyles.
Oh, and even though I knew the monsters attacking us were players, I cut them down anyway. Obviously.
40. Anonymous Defender
Ilevus took quite a lot of damage, but I guess this still counts as a successful defense.
41. Anonymous Defender
It was fun getting to know people I'd never had anything to do with before.
My friends list more than doubled, lol.
42. Anonymous Defender
>>40 The defeat condition was 'more than half the Guardian Towers being destroyed,' after all.
The main gate was destroyed, part of the walls was destroyed, lots of houses in the city were destroyed, and the temple deep in the city collapsed without a trace! And yet it was our victory!
43. Anonymous Defender
>>42 When you put it that way, we got wrecked, lol.
I'm not even sure we really won.
44. Anonymous Defender
>>42 Apparently, several thefts took place too.
This was definitely the work of the monster players who attacked us.
45. Anonymous Defender
>>44 Who knows? Maybe some NPC took advantage of the chaos to loot the place.
46. Anonymous Defender
Looks like rebuilding is going to take both time and money.
In WSS, it'll affect distribution, prices, and so on, so there's no telling what will be affected or where.
47. Anonymous Defender
That event got really heated.
A lot of players were a little on edge, though.
48. Anonymous Defender
Good work at the event!
49. Anonymous Defender
Nice work.
50. Anonymous Defender
>>47 Exactly.
I couldn't participate myself, but I heard the atmosphere was incredibly tense. What happened?
51. Anonymous Defender
>>47 I couldn't participate because I had work, but was the atmosphere bad?
52. Anonymous Defender
>>47 You could say everyone got swept up in the atmosphere.
It's a phenomenon where, even though it's a game, it's so realistic that people get carried away by the atmosphere given off by the NPCs and such. It happened to several people in my party, and I think I was affected more than a little myself.
This was a battlefield, after all, and the tension was pretty intense.
53. Anonymous Defender
Did you see the event rewards?
There was ore that can be used to make elemental weapons, and it was pretty sweet.
54. Anonymous Defender
>>52 So we were thrown into a battlefield that was as close to real as possible, and getting bloodthirsty was only natural?
I wasn't affected by the atmosphere, so I wonder whether that means I'm normal or not...
55. Anonymous Defender
>>53 I saw them.
That stuff is seriously useful. There were enough ingots to make at least two weapons or pieces of armor.
56. Anonymous Defender
>>53 They were selling that in Ilevus, weren't they? It was insanely expensive, though.
Are the people who shelled out big bucks for it still breathing, lol?
57. Anonymous Defender
>>53 My friend who plays a crafting class was dancing with joy.
Apparently, making something you've never made before gives you a ton of experience.
58. Anonymous Defender
I thought my stats suddenly increased toward the end of the event, but maybe that was just me?
It wasn't just me; everyone around me had the same thing happen.
59. Anonymous Defender
The ingots' attributes were random, but it seems everyone received the ingots themselves.
By trading or buying and selling with people in my clan and other acquaintances, I managed to gather enough materials to make about two weapons with the attributes I wanted.
60. Anonymous Defender
>>58 The increase in stats was an effect of the ultimate technique used by the NPC knight commander.
61. Anonymous Defender
>>58 Apparently it was the effect of an ultimate technique used by an NPC.
I actually saw it used in front of the main gate.
62. Anonymous Defender
>>60 Seriously? Do we know the name?
63. Anonymous Defender
It looks like some people also got fairly useful magic items as event rewards.
There was probably something like a contribution score involved.
64. Anonymous Defender
>>62 I was fighting on a nearby battlefield, so I heard it.
The knight commander shouted 'Breath of Grunare.'
For the record, Grunare is the name of the 'Goddess of War and Victory.' You may already know that, but I figured I'd add it.
65. Anonymous Defender
The event's about to end, but a nasty-looking resident was running around screaming at the top of his lungs.
What happened?
66. Anonymous Defender
>>64 Thanks for the info!
An ultimate technique that raises allies' abilities could contribute to a party, but would you really choose it as your first pick?
It's not even certain that players can learn it, though.
67. Anonymous Defender
>>63 There probably was something like that.
Even in my clan, there was a difference in rewards between those who left partway through and those who survived to the end, and the people who were especially active got a bit more.
68. Anonymous Defender
>>63 They're magic items, but the ones we got are hit or miss.
What am I supposed to do with stoves and fans that only work when you slot in a magic stone?!
69. Anonymous Defender
>>68 LOL.
70. Anonymous Defender
>>68 LOL.
71. Anonymous Defender
>>68 Too bad...
72. Anonymous Defender
>>68 M-maybe a player who's a cook would buy them?
As for the fan... maybe resell it to an NPC?

Tomatoes from my farm!
Here: [image]
Looks delicious, right?
133. Noon Billy
My farm finally turned a profit.
Man, it was a struggle until I got things on track. Do real-life farmers have it even harder?
134. Suisu
It's incredibly hard to go independent in livestock farming, so I'm super jealous.
The initial investment requires an absurd amount of money, doesn't it?
135. Hotaru
As a cooking clan, we're grateful to those who provide us with high-quality ingredients.
We'll pay well for new or unusual ingredients.
136. Hassan
>>135 Nice ad as usual.
137. Mr.Radish
Plants grown in soil with too much magic-stone powder seem to become monsters at different magic-stone ratios depending on the plant.
Ask an NPC farmer about it. They know from experience what ratio keeps each plant from turning into a monster.
138. Jurieto
>>134 Livestock farming is tough too.
By the way, my orchard plan also requires a huge amount of money (stares blankly).
139. Hassan
Broadcasts of war-related events sure are flashy.
I wonder whether most of the regulars in this thread, aside from a few, didn't participate?
140. Tsurunosuke
Report! I successfully made contact with a Lizardman player at the event!
They'll negotiate for us to fish in a lake in the northern mountains! Aspiring fishermen and anglers, gather round!
141. Reel
>>140 Useful.
142. Hotaru
>>140 Please let me know if you find any rare ingredients!
143. Hassan
>>140 There weren't many fishing spots, so this is great news.
144. Tsurunosuke
According to the Lizardman player, it seems we'll be fine as long as we don't overfish or attack the Lizardmen.
Apparently, Lizardman players as a group have an unusually high opinion of players in general, though they themselves don't really know why.
145. Jurieto
>>144 I wonder if they owe players some kind of favor?
146. Suisu
Fish... fish meal...
147. Tsurunosuke
>>146 They said no overfishing, lol.
Besides, magic stones are plenty good enough as fertilizer, right?
148. Yamada
>>147 Feeding magic stones to livestock will turn them into monsters!
149. Tsurunosuke
>>148 Oh, right.
