A Wonderful Aspect of Autumn: Action (21)

I logged in. Oh, there's a message in clan chat. Is it from Iris? Let's see... She was inviting everyone to watch the finals of the arena tournament together, since today was the final day of the event.

Although I hadn't taken part in the arena tournament, some of those who had entered had actually advanced to the finals. Two parties had advanced in the party division. One was Jigoro. He had stormed into the party division all by himself and made it to the finals. Honestly, his strength made no sense.

The other was a party consisting of Nanako, Motsu-san, Sei, and his tamed monster. The group led by Motsu-san had apparently survived through excellent teamwork. They were the exact opposite of Jigoro.

In the pairs division, there was the strongest married couple, Kanna and Raga, who had won before. Both of them were far stronger than they had been back then, and Kanna had even stopped being human, so the shock to the players had apparently been immense. Some players had known about it from a previous event, but her appearance in front of such a large crowd had made her the talk of the event.

In the individual division, Genzou had advanced with overwhelming strength. There was nothing more to say. I couldn't imagine Genzou losing a one-on-one fight. Go on and win it.

I naturally accepted Iris's invitation. Everyone had come to watch my 'Dragon Race' yesterday, so I should be the one cheering today. We were meeting... in front of Cal? I would water the Sage Tree before heading over.

When I got up from bed, Hyringia, who had apparently been curled up on the floor until then, got up and came over to my feet. She began smacking my shins with her tail. She seemed eager to get out of the room.

When I opened the door with a wry smile, she darted outside as though she had been waiting for that moment. I stepped into the hallway as well, but Hyringia seemed to regain her composure, spread her wings, and flew onto my head. Yes, she had charged out, but she didn't know the way outside.

"Until yesterday, I was the one riding on your back. Looks like our roles will be reversed for a while."

"Kyuuu."...
