'Gwooooooooooaaaaaaar!!!!!'

It was Jigoro's 【Roar】 that cleared away the dust kicked up by Rook-kun's attack. His battle cry, accompanied by physical pressure, blew away the dust while making the air throughout the arena tremble violently.

Rook-kun, who had been frozen in place with his sword still lowered from his swing, took Jigoro's 【Roar】 head-on. His stats had risen to levels inconceivable for a player, so the 【Roar】 only immobilized him for the briefest moment. But that moment was more than enough for Jigoro.

'Shh! Shh! Sharaa!'

'Tch!'

The golden, gleaming Jigoro closed in in an instant and launched a relentless combination. Rapid jabs and a straight punch slammed into Rook-kun, making him stagger. After a low kick aimed at his knee, Jigoro made it look as though he were throwing another low kick, then sent its trajectory snapping upward into a high kick that sank into Rook-kun's neck.

Rook-kun tried to defend against Jigoro's blows, but Jigoro mixed feints with genuine attacks, casually batting aside Rook-kun's counterattacks before hammering in counters of his own. He incorporated vicious attacks such as elbow strikes and knee strikes into his combinations as well as punches and kicks, and his assault only grew more ferocious.

'Don't underestimate me!'

'Whoa!? That was close!'

However, Rook-kun changed his approach. He abandoned defense altogether, planted his feet, and began focusing all his effort on attacking, relying on his increased stats. He must have realized that the gap in technique between himself and Jigoro was simply too great, and chosen to overwhelm him with brute force...
