There are supposedly three main ways to drink whiskey.

Straight, on the rocks, and as a highball.

Straight means drinking it all at once, like soju; on the rocks means adding ice, and a highball is whiskey mixed with sparkling water or soda.

I'd done some studying on whiskey, so I learned that whiskey aficionados call the highballs sold in stores fake highballs.

I decided to try the whiskey I'd brought straight first, then as a highball.
