On the lake's surface, monster corpses floated.

They weren't the sort of monsters you would normally see outside.

The dead monsters were beings created by the Dungeon Master of Blackdark Cavern, so with their split hides and bleeding wounds, they looked as if they had been brutally slaughtered by intruders.

With a splash, someone's head broke the surface.

Her name was Maria, a Blesser and an intruder.

"It's mostly all cleaned up!"

She headed for the shore.

She wasn't swimming normally; she was literally walking across the lake...
