Seri-ah and Zeni-ah took the lead, walking forward through the Great Forest.

Was there some instinctual pull even though they were half-elves? Their expressions were as excited as young children on a picnic.

Sadly, their short, severed ears couldn’t flap and only managed to twitch.

Watching them, Hera said.

“Franz, looking at them sometimes makes me think this: that because we Elves did wrong, they had to suffer through such unfortunate years-.”

It was an undeniable fact. Right off the bat, Hera’s older brother, Heris, had sold off his fellow Elves to humans.

But there was no point in agonizing over it.

“Even if that’s the truth, there’s no way to change the past. Let’s think about how we can make them happier in the future.”
