After that, the city was enveloped by a bizarre sight: Bloody Buffas that had fallen from the sky were flying back up, one after another. It looked as though they were falling into the sky, and the sight of cows that had finally landed on solid ground only to be sucked back up by some divine force was on its way to becoming a local attraction.

"Takako-san, the Bloody Buffas are flying up into the sky one after another... What is that?"

"Only Kagami-chan could do something like that. Even I can barely throw something high enough to reach a bird in the sky."

Hearing that, Alice stared silently, mouth agape, at the monster standing beside her. Meanwhile, Takako watched with a satisfied expression as the giant birds flying overhead were shot down one after another by the Bloody Buffas.

"But that's Kagami-chan for you. He's sending them flying so satisfyingly. We should be able to figure out where he is in no time. Come on, Alice-chan."

With that, Takako took off running in the direction the Bloody Buffas were flying. Alice nodded in agreement and followed after her.

As they ran, they could see what was happening around the city. Most of the residents had already recovered from their initial confusion. Half were in a festive mood, while the other half openly seethed with anger toward the demons.

Those in a festive mood drank as they watched the Bloody Buffas flying through the air, cheering on people fighting the ones rampaging nearby.

But that was only true of people who had suffered no damage and could afford to take the Bloody Buffas lightly. Those whose homes had been destroyed or who had been injured, even slightly, glared resentfully at the giant birds flying through the sky.

Alice's expression clouded as she watched. It felt as though the sight were accusing her, telling her that reconciliation between demons and humans was impossible...
