The North's cavalry units are powerful. So much so that they are confident of their superiority, not only over the other units in the Eastern and Western Regions, but even compared to the former Royal Guard.
Spring, summer, autumn, winter—all year round, soldiers freeze to death, and the terrain is hellish. Having experienced all sorts of operations in such a place, their skill level is insane.
They've truly experienced every type of battle except underwater and air combat. Don't even start unless you've fought on a snow-covered crevasse. There are several times more soldiers missing from falling off cliffs than those killed by enemy swords.
Because of this, the casualty rate is inherently high, and their numbers are not that large, but each surviving soldier is worth a hundred.
They can fire a gun with their left hand, swing a sabre with their right hand, and do a headspin with their head all at the same time. Seriously. Those who can't pull off those moves have long been worm food.
And now, these cavalrymen, reorganized into the Central Army, were scouring the land for the current King.
"You still haven't found any clues?!"
"I apologize, Battalion Commander! Aside from the story we heard at the post station earlier, nothing concrete...."
"It seems the scouts who went further out haven't had any luck either. We're sure they passed through this area, though."
