It had started out as just an ordinary music video—the kind commonly made for idols, designed to showcase the group’s charms as much as possible.

An MV intended to emphasize Group Sound’s undeniable (though some might wish they could deny it) advantage—their ‘looks’—with the vibe of, ‘Wow, these pretty girls are in a band too? And they’re seriously talented? See for yourself right now,’ while appealing to fans with all its might and flattering the boss by filming his daughter beautifully… a music video with a budget in the hundreds of millions of won.

But that course changed with a single remark from someone.

“Isn’t it too ordinary?”

It was a meeting called to explain to the band members what kind of MV they planned to make. At that meeting, Ha Suyeon, who had been watching the music video with her chin propped on her hand, said:

“Huh?? Why?? Why do you think so??”

“No, uh… It’s not anything specific.”

There was a hint of hesitation in Suyeon’s expression as she said that, as though she was wondering whether she really needed to intrude on a field outside her expertise. But Jeong Yuyeong listened without saying a word. Hints sometimes emerged unexpectedly in places like this.

“Well, what we’re trying to make is a traditional music video.”
