Rather than bowing submissively and kneeling as the menacing giant had ordered, Hiyori stood with her weight on one leg, scratched the back of her head with Kyanos, and sighed.

"You there, what is that attitude? Have you forgotten the proper way to present yourself before a king?"

"You really are a pain. I’d show you the proper respect in a formal setting, but what’s the point of groveling in an empty field like this?"

"What?! You bring only one servant and a single tiger, yet you pretend to be a noble? To speak to a king as an equal, that is nowhere near enough!"

"He isn’t a servant. He’s my husband."

I was hiding behind the thoroughly terrified tiger and nervously watching what was going on, but when Hiyori casually told such a lie, I protested without coming out of hiding.

"I’m not your husband. I’m your boyfriend. We’re not married yet!"

"Correction. He’s my future husband."
