Chapter 3: Hello. World! (3)

It’s good that I’ve created new organisms, but how do I scatter them all over the world?

I’d like to just dump a bunch in one place and leave it, but that probably won’t spread them properly across the world. Hmm…

Well, I have plenty of time, so should I just wait and see for now? If it doesn’t work, I can find another way later.

I stumbled out of the cave where I was born with an awkward gait.

Hmm… walking is annoying. My legs are oddly thick, making it uncomfortable to walk, unlike when I was human.

I have wings on my back, but can I fly with these?

But if I’m a dragon that can’t fly, wouldn’t I be no different from a dinosaur?

I looked at the small wings attached to my back.

As a human, it would have been impossible to see my back, but thanks to becoming a dragon with a long neck, being able to see my back is quite peculiar.

I tapped the wings with the tip of my nose, trying to remember the sensation of that part.

The feeling of something touching near the wing bones on my back. A strange feeling of a body part unlike when I was human.

It was quite difficult to move since it was a part that didn’t exist originally, but as I moved little by little, I started to get the hang of it strangely.

But I don’t think I can fly with this. Hmm…

Whether there’s magical power or not, what use is it if I can’t even feel it!

But my back is getting a bit sore and tired. Hmm. Is it because I haven’t been born for long and my muscles aren’t developed enough? Or is it hard because the wing muscles aren’t used to this?

The muscles near my wings hurt! It hurts!!! A cramp, I’ve got a cramp!!! Argh!!!!

And so, before I could do anything, I fell to the ground.

If there’s any consolation, it’s that even though I hit the ground hard enough to create a large crater, my body doesn’t hurt at all.

No, it does hurt! The wing area where I got a cramp hurts!!! But my arms are too short to massage the wing muscles!!!!

After struggling in the crater for a while, the pain in my wing area gradually disappeared.

Is it because I was born not long ago? Or is it because it was a part that didn’t exist originally? Anyway, I never imagined I could get a cramp in my wings.

From now on… I should do some stretching before flapping my wings.

I’m not sure how tall I am now, but if I think it’s similar to my height as a human…

I fell head first from about the height of a three-story building and didn’t get a single scratch. The sturdiness of my body was definitely proven.

I flapped my wings again and took off.

It was so faint that I couldn’t feel it unless I paid close attention, but as I flapped my wings and flew, I started to understand it a little.

I went around the world scattering the organisms that would become the ancestors of all the creatures I created.

I added a bit of shock absorption function, so I scatter these organisms that can withstand falling from quite high places all over this world.

What is the origin of humanity’s birth?

The Life Order, which serves the Goddess of Life, claimed that the Goddess of Life gave birth to all life in this world, but this is not correct.

After decades of research, I, a professor at the Imperial University, claim that the origin of all life is Slimes.

Slimes that adapt to the environment and cause changes! That is the origin of all living things!

This can be confirmed from Slime fossils found all over the world-

And watching these Slimes turned out to be more interesting than I thought.

No, the evolution process of Slimes is different in each region.

And in different regions with similar environments, they’re going through different evolutionary paths.

For example, comparing two similar swamp areas, in one place Slimes became Mud Slimes containing the mucus of mud, while in another place they changed into Poison Slimes that generate poison by collecting rotting matter in the swamp.

In addition, in environments full of ice, Ice Slimes as hard as ice appeared, and in volcanic regions, Lava Slimes with burning fire appeared.

Slimes that eat leaves and produce leaf-like structures to mimic them. Slimes that eat and absorb minerals to change like ores, and so on. The world of Slimes was infinite.

Slimes that entered water usually dissolved and disappeared, probably due to osmotic pressure from the concentration difference, but occasionally Slimes that adapted to live in water began to appear.

And amazingly, the water-adapted Slimes were changing their body surface to prevent losing their body fluids.

The single-celled Slimes began to divide themselves to create a harder body surface, starting to protect their internal moisture.

Instead, because their surface changed, they couldn’t easily absorb microorganisms as food, so they started to create mouth-like structures to eat.

They also started to create fin-like structures for more active movement.

And perhaps to overcome the inability to breathe properly underwater, they began to create gill-like organs to absorb oxygen…? Is there oxygen in water? Anyway, they started to create organs similar to gills to absorb something like oxygen in the water.

And so, Slimes began to change to become like fish.
