The Northland War (1)

Before Calix destroyed the castle walls with Idea's Bow, the Northern Army inside Northland Castle had finished preparing to sortie.

“Duran, do you really think they'll break down the castle gate with Idea's Bow?”

“Yes. I am certain enough to stake my neck on it.”

Including the Grand Duke, the Northern Army could not make sense of this deployment.

They had not formed up outside the castle, nor were they preparing for a siege.

It was simply a strategy they had never heard of before: they would sortie when the castle walls collapsed, using that as their signal.

Some soldiers seemed unable to believe that the castle walls, protected by barrier magic, could be destroyed.

But Duran was certain.

Before this battle, Duran and Leo had waged a great deal of information warfare behind the scenes.

As they did so, the two of them naturally came to understand each other's situations...
