If I had to imagine the worst possible turn of events, it would probably be about this bad.

It was the sort of situation where, instead of creating other variables, I was filtered out based on my looks before I even had a chance to do anything.

Sadly, as the ancients supposedly said, bad predictions are always accurate.

It had been about thirty seconds since I met Dorothy. In that short time, I'd already stepped halfway into that scenario.
