Two Months of Ordeal

Nearly two months had passed since Asmodeus first appeared. During that time, the Kingdom had truly endured an immense ordeal. An entire island was practically wiped out, after all.

Fortunately, the number of casualties from Isle of Veridia was lower than expected.

This was partly due to the region's sparse population relative to its area, and largely thanks to someone diligently stepping up to assist with the evacuation before Asmodeus could fully rampage.

As a result, public sentiment towards Yor and the Knight Order among the evacuees bordered on worship rather than mere favor.

Nearly five million people had been safely evacuated to the Mainland, with only a few exceptions.

However, the problems began afterward. For these five million people, the Residential Area issues were immense. Property damage to buildings in Isle of Veridia. The paralysis of distribution and tourism industries due to the large-scale evacuation, and so on. The financial burden was practically incalculable, and public opinion among the citizens had deteriorated to the point of near riots.

After all, when a country becomes difficult to live in, the government is usually the first to be blamed.

Moreover, the karma of having tried to hush up the Demon's descent in the Kingdom, only to let the situation spiral out of control, meant public sentiment was at its absolute worst.

To make matters worse, Monsters had recently been spotted roaming Isle of Veridia...
