This morning, the Farming Squad refused my help.
Why?!
I helped with watering yesterday evening.
I thought I'd gotten to where I could make fine adjustments.
Apparently, I'm free to do nothing but watch...
A small lake had appeared near the house.
Looks like One-Eye, the Farming Squad, the baby ants, and the little ants all worked hard.
Fluffy had created a huge amount of water with magic and was floating on it.
Fluffy wanted the lake expanded.
I cut down the trees in the requested area.
Isn't this a little too big? It's about the equivalent of four 25-meter pools.
Well, Fluffy was happy.
A tree stump suddenly popped out of the ground.
When I panicked, Shuri's face emerged from beneath it.
Boss-san was pulling it toward Shuri's hole with a thread.
Their teamwork is incredible.
Looks like I'm not needed anymore...
I saw the baby spiders and the Farming Squad members carrying transparent stones heading into the forest.
Hmm, is it just me, or does one of the baby spiders seem to be carrying the magic bag?
When I returned to my room, the other baby spiders carried me off to the first basement level.
I can walk without being carried... but you guys are strong.
...How did vegetables and fruit get into the newly made storage room?
Inside, One-Eye was building shelves while Three-Eyes organized the ingredients.
...Amazing.
The baby spiders asked me to expand the storage room, so I was about to do that when they stopped me.
Core pointed at the refrigeration room and the time-stop room with its foreleg, trying to tell me something.
...? You want both... No, that's not it.
You want a refrigeration room with a time-stop function...? I see.
I improved the first basement level, making a large refrigeration room with a time-stop function in the empty space.
I imagined magic that would cool the food once it was put inside, then stop time.
As soon as I made the room, three One-Eyes quickly built shelves in it... They're fast.
I moved all the ingredients, demolished the now-empty rooms, and rebuilt them as larger rooms.
After repeating this, I ended up with 25 rooms with both refrigeration and time-stop functions, three time-stop-only rooms, and two refrigeration-only rooms.
The entire space on the first basement level was filled with rooms.
Before I knew it, all the One-Eyes were working together to build shelves.
...Amazing.
I watched them build the shelves.
Their assembly technique is too professional. They're talented—too talented.
Nothing troublesome has happened, so if I had to call something a problem... there isn't one.
Well, I guess it's fine.
Yeah, thanks for everything.
...
I decided to go hunting with Core and the others.
I want to increase our meat stockpile.
It seems there are quite a few monsters inside the barrier, too.
Some monsters seem to run away just from seeing Core.
Compared to when we started, the prey doesn't seem to be affected by the curse.
I wonder why?
While chasing a monster, we came right up to the barrier.
When I ran at full speed, it wasn't as wide as I'd expected.
Maybe I should expand the barrier.
Core suddenly breathed fire toward the sky.
Looking up, I saw a gigantic bird-like monster diving toward us.
The monster deftly dodged Core's fire, and its attack came toward me.
Anticipating an attack, I formed the image and had already activated the magic once.
"Sever"
To kill an opponent in one blow with certainty, cut off its head.
But I'd envisioned a monster running along the ground, so having its head suddenly fly off in midair... is scary!
