Hyaaaah!!
This was the training grounds of the Rebellio Knights' Order.
The sun had only just risen, and the day had barely begun, but quite a few people were already hard at work training.
I knew I was here pretty early, but the knights here were just as diligent. I think that kind of dedication to martial training deserves genuine praise.
"That's it! You're getting the hang of it!"
As I dodged the sword swinging toward me with all its might, I praised my opponent.
I was sparring—or rather, doing practice bouts—with the knights.
If we both used real swords, there was always the risk of an accident, so we stuck to wooden swords. Though, a wooden sword was all I had on me right now.
Still, the fact that I thought we ought to try training with real swords at least once made me wonder if I'd become rather too enamored with the madness of the sword.
That uniquely tense, prickling feeling was something I'd rather avoid if I could. On the other hand, anyone who lived by the sword ought to experience it at least once. Unlike adventurers, the knights probably didn't get many chances to see real combat...
