An Old Country Bumpkin Learns About Magic

Lucy and I walked through the streets of Baltrain as the sun began to sink toward the horizon.

We made for a rather mismatched pair, as always. I still wasn't used to walking alongside famous people, whether it was Allucia or Sleena.

"That was an energetic girl. One of the younger knights?"

"Oh, you mean Kurni?"

Just as I was starting to run out of things to do, Lucy struck up a conversation.

It was fair to call Kurni the most energetic member of the Rebellio Knights' Order. She'd been cheerful by nature even back when she was at my dojo, and thankfully, that quality hadn't dimmed in the slightest.

"She's a good kid. Young, but talented, too."

"That's good to hear."

Lucy answered with a chuckle.

I didn't know much about how the Knights' Order and the Mage Corps interacted. The only time I'd seen them cross paths was when Fissel came to the Knights' Order headquarters to deliver potions...
