An Old Country Bumpkin Reports the Results

“Hey. I’ve been waiting for you.”

“Hm? Lucy, is that you?”

The next morning.

Yesterday had been busy, but that didn’t mean my duties were any lighter. So today, as usual, I headed to headquarters to train the knights.

At the entrance, a figure stood waiting with arms crossed. Needless to say, it was Lucy Diamond, head of the Mage Corps. She was still ridiculously tiny.

“Did you wait here for me? Sorry about that.”

“It’s fine. I’m the one who made an unreasonable request.”

Apparently, she had been waiting for me. It must have taken some effort to wait for me so early in the morning.

I’d been thinking I should report to Lucy, but I felt awkward barging into her house out of nowhere, so her waiting here was actually perfect. There was a lot I wanted to discuss, too.
