Across the Empire, there are only a handful of Sword Masters.

In other words, Derek was among the strongest people in the Empire.

So taking down the giant orc that had appeared in a village would be easier than eating soup in bed.

The real problem lay elsewhere.

Being a Sword Master didn't make him all-powerful; everyone had their own weaknesses.

Derek's weakness was his slow pace.

He was still far faster than most knights, but his speed was what held him back on this mission.

He could deal with the orc in under five minutes, but reaching the place alone would take half a day to a full day at top speed.

Considering he'd then have to travel all over the area searching for the goblin unit, there was no telling how long it would take.

So Derek decided to boldly trust his subordinates and minimize his own workload...
