213 – Dance with the Devil (2)

A few hours by boat from Busan.

After drifting over the sea for quite a while, we finally arrived in Japan.

“If we'd taken a plane, we would have gotten here faster.”

After staring at nothing but the ocean for so long, I finally felt alive when I stepped onto land. As I stretched, cracking my whole body, Dahee pulled on my arm.

“Sometimes, things like this have their own kind of romance, don't they? Traveling by boat has its own fun and charm.”

That was true. I'd traveled abroad by plane quite a few times, but this was my first time on a boat, and it was a pretty fresh experience for me too.

As the so-called 「Captain of the Pirate Crew」, having so little experience aboard ship was embarrassing. Thinking that I should start taking boats more often, I looked around.

“What am I even supposed to do here? Every time I go abroad, my mind goes blank.”

At twenty-five, I'd had plenty of overseas travel experiences. I'd decided that about once a year, I should travel outside my country and see the wider world...
