#67. Master of the Labyrinth
With Noel's navigation and trap-detection abilities, and me serving as a magical-beast detector, exploring the dungeon had become nothing more than a cycle of moving, fighting, and resting.
We didn't need to bother with tedious mapping or cower at the thought of traps that might spring out at any moment.
Besides, once we entered the third floor, even combat took up far less of our time, thanks to the fact that most of the magical beasts that appeared were gargoyles and golems, both famous for being sluggish.
The magical beasts we'd encountered up to now had carried various risks because they doggedly pursued us if we ran, whereas gargoyles and golems were wonderfully stupid enough to lose us after we turned a few corners.
Of course, we couldn't avoid every battle.
On rare occasions, two or more would appear in a group, and since gargoyles and golems were so massive, dealing with them inevitably consumed a great deal of stamina and mana.
As a result, we naturally took breaks more often than we had on the second floor. Of course, resting itself wasn't a problem. Regulating our condition was essential in preparation for the third-floor boss.
Instead.
