I was just about to head to Marcel-san’s workshop when Mom and Dad stopped me.

"Leon, actually, we wanted to ask you about something. Would you hear us out? Do you have any plans today?"

I wondered what they wanted to ask me about. It didn’t have to be today when I went to Marcel-san’s, so I figured I’d hear them out first. I replied,

"I don’t have anything I absolutely need to do today, so of course. But what did you want to ask me about?"

"Actually, it’s about the katsu sandwiches."

"The katsu sandwiches? They’ve been selling really well, haven’t they? You only sell them to go, right?"

I tilted my head and asked, and Dad opened his mouth with a troubled look.

"That’s right, but lately other shops have started copying them, and they’re not selling as well as before. So we were hoping you might have a good idea. You came up with the katsu sandwich, Leon. Your mother and I tried thinking up some other varieties, but we haven’t been able to make anything that beats it."

"That’s right... I thought maybe we didn’t need to be so ambitious, but I still feel like we should take advantage of this opportunity and come up with more products that sell well. Besides, it would be a waste not to sell your recipes, Leon. You said you were going to open a sweets shop, but you won’t be serving meals, will you?"...
