Yoan's Achievement

Just as I finished gathering my thoughts, Yoan called out to me. The cake seemed to have finished baking at last. It had smelled amazing for a while.

The smell reminded me of when Mom used to bake sweets at home in Japan. ...It really takes me back.

"Lord Leon, it's ready."

"Thanks. Can I eat it just like this?"

"Yes. It's certainly delicious fresh from the oven. However, if you cover it with a damp cloth and let it cool, it'll stay moist and taste good even after it cools."

Right, if we're going to make a cake, the sponge has to cool. The whipped cream would melt, and we'd have to chill it in the end anyway.

Even though I hadn't told Yoan that, they figured out how to cool it while keeping it delicious... Yoan's a genius!!
