Classes Resume and the Expedition

Summer break finally ended yesterday, and today our days at the Royal School began again.

Thinking back to how things were before summer break, I got ready that morning and rode to school in a carriage with Lucian. Then I entered the Class E classroom.

Ronnie was already there, and it looked like everyone else had gathered, too. For some reason, more people than usual always show up early on the first day after a long break. Thinking that, I headed for my seat beside Ronnie.

"Good morning, Ronnie."

"Oh, Leon. Good morning."

"How are the others doing? Have they settled in?"

"Yeah, no problems. They're surprised by how different things are from their old lives, but more than that, they seem to be having fun every day. I think they're happiest about having three meals a day. Whenever they have free time, they watch Tino-san cooking from the kitchen entrance."

Ronnie said that with a slight wry smile.

"I see. Well, I'm glad they're settling in. Do you think we can start working soon?"

"Yeah! I don't think there'll be any problems at all. I showed everyone where the market and the shop are, and gave them a tour of the shop."...
