Testing Magic

After dinner the next day.

I was in Richard-sama's room again. He'd called me over right after dinner. I wondered if something was up.

When I entered Richard-sama's room, wondering what was going on, I saw Lucian there too. As soon as I sat down on the sofa, we got right to the point.

"Leon-kun, I reported what we discussed yesterday to His Majesty earlier. During our discussion, we decided we should test your magic sometime soon."

"Are we testing Spatial Magic?"

"That's right. We want to test things like whether you can put a monster in your Item Box and how many people you can teleport at once. You said you'd like to try those things eventually, didn't you?"

"Yes."

"We decided we'd like you to do that as soon as possible. Also, since testing on a monster could be dangerous, we'll prepare a relatively harmless one so you can conduct the tests safely."

This was an incredibly generous offer, but... could they really prepare a monster? Weren't they only found in the Monster Forest?

"Aren't monsters only found in the Monster Forest?"...
