A Brief Visit Home

The following week, on Fireday.

Today was the day information about the Monster Forest would be announced to the commoners. By this evening, it would have spread widely, so I planned to visit my family home tonight. I wanted to check on everyone and talk to them about this weekend’s magic tests.

I finished my classes at the Royal Academy and went back to the mansion without attending the research club.

First, I shut myself in my room and made barrier magic tools for my entire family. The shadows were keeping an eye on everyone, but there was always a chance something could happen, so I thought it would be better for them to have barrier magic tools to eliminate even the slightest risk.

I made four barrier magic tools, then called Roger over. The reason I made four was that I planned to give one to Marcel-san, too. Marcel-san was in a pretty dangerous position as well.

“Roger, I’m going to my family home now. I’ll be back in this room early tomorrow morning, so could you make sure no one comes in until then? It would be a problem if anyone saw me teleport back.”

“Of course. I’ll make sure no one but me enters this room.”

“Thanks. Oh, will they prepare dinner for me tonight and breakfast tomorrow morning?”

“Yes. Only the head of the household, Lucian-sama, me, and a very small number of servants know that you’re out, so everyone will assume you’re in this room. However, your dinner is scheduled to be served here in your room, so there’s no need to worry about anyone else finding it suspicious.”
