Royal Academy Study Materials and Shopping

After we took our seats in the sitting room, Frederick-sama asked Anne-san to prepare tea and his attendant to bring the study materials.

Seeing how naturally he could order the servants around, he really was a noble after all. I felt vaguely bad about it and found myself wanting to do things myself.

After a while, the tea was ready and the study materials had been brought in.

"Leon, these are the subjects you need to study for the Royal Academy entrance examination. Basically, reading and writing, arithmetic, and a little history."

"May I look inside?"

"Yes. Ask me if you have any questions."

The study materials Frederick-sama gave me consisted of three books.

The first was a basic language-arts book. More than half of it was devoted to learning how to write, while the latter half was for improving reading comprehension.

I don't need to study this. I can read and write this world's language just as well as Japanese, and after attending university in Japan, I have no need to study first-grade language arts now.

The second was basic arithmetic. It covered addition and subtraction, along with simple multiplication and division, and nothing else. There were no fractions or decimals, nor any geometry. Perhaps those were taught after enrollment? I don't need to study this one, either...
