"Lady Monica Everett, the Silent Witch... you have been assigned the duty of guarding His Highness, the Second Prince Felix Arc Ridill."

Lewis's words left Monica confused for a moment.

"Um... isn't that exactly what I'm doing right now?"

At that very moment, Monica was in the middle of guarding the Second Prince while concealing her identity.

When Lewis said the situation was extremely dire, Monica had braced herself, but she could not help feeling deflated. Lewis, however, merely shook his head with the same mournful expression.

"Soon, envoys from the Kingdom of Falforia will visit our country's Duchy of Reinburg. Diplomatic negotiations will be held there, and it has been decided that the Second Prince will attend."

It was not unusual for Felix to attend diplomatic affairs with neighboring countries. He had been taking part in diplomatic occasions since his early teens and had a record of concluding numerous important agreements.
