Vol. 10 Ch. 5: The Group You Generally Shouldn't Make Eye Contact With (= The Seven Sages)

When Glenn was assigned this mission, he voiced a question to his master.

"What kind of person is the Silent Witch-san?"

At Glenn's question, Louis looked utterly exasperated and adjusted his crooked monocle with a slender finger.

"To begin with, how many of the Seven Sages do you know?"

"Umm, Master, and... the Star-Seer Witch and the Cannonball Magician and... who else was there?"

Unbelievably, he knew less than half of them.

Louis placed a slender finger against his brow and sighed with a pained expression.

"How lamentable that an apprentice of one of the Seven Sages cannot even name the Seven Sages. Very well. So that you do not disgrace yourself in front of the Duke of Reinburg, I shall explain the Seven Sages to you. Memorize it thoroughly with that empty head of yours."

"Yes, sir," Glenn replied, straightening up like a well-behaved dog, and Louis raised one slender finger.

"First up: Mary Harvey, the Star-Seer Witch, whom you also know. She is a master of astrology and the eldest of the Seven Sages. She is a sex-crazed woman who makes a snack of any handsome young man she makes eye contact with."...
