Three weeks had passed since the new term began.
So far, Monica had managed to get through her days without Felix discovering her identity or running into her nemesis, Hubard Dee.
Roberto occasionally barged into her classroom to suddenly recite a poem (?) or invite her to play chess, but aside from that, life was largely peaceful.
The student council was not in its busy season yet, either, and her left hand had improved considerably. Her grip was still weak, and putting force into it caused a sharp stab of pain, but she could now make a light fist and open it with fairly natural ease.
The most notable recent change was probably that Albert had started joining Glen's after-school study sessions.
Albert, who had attended Minerva until recently, knew a fair amount about magic. He and Glen had hit it off over that shared interest, and had recently begun studying magic together.
Albert had a deep understanding of magical formulas, but struggled with the sensory manipulation needed to control magic power. Perhaps for that very reason, studying with Glen, who was the exact opposite, gave them both something to gain.
These days, Glen mostly taught Albert flight magic, while Albert taught Glen tracking formulas. Sometimes, after studying together as the three of them, they would have a tea party at Albert's.
After three weeks of living as Monica Norton without her identity being exposed, Monica had let her guard down just a little... yes, just a tiny bit.
Even though not a single one of the problems she faced had been resolved...
