Vol. 12 Ch. 16: His Merciless Queen-sama

At long last, the prey he had been waiting for finally appeared in the hunting grounds, and Hubard was overjoyed.

But there was one thing troubling him. Namely...

"Mm-mm-mmm, hey, this fog is your doing, right? ...Don't you need to dispel it?"

The fog spread throughout the area was probably meant to keep Monica from appearing on the stage in the spectators' view.

But as a rule, a mage can only use two spells simultaneously.

In other words, while Monica was maintaining the fog, she could use only one other spell. On top of that, she had to keep releasing a fair amount of mana to maintain the fog.

That meant Monica couldn't fight at full strength. Wouldn't that be terribly boring?

When Hubard pointed that out, Monica replied expressionlessly.

"One hand is more than enough."
