Vol. 5 Ch. 9: About the 〈Silent Witch〉

After Isabelle Norton’s one-woman show, Caroline Simmons and her two friends were taken to another room by a teacher. Watching them go, Cyril snorted.

Although it has not been officially decided yet, Caroline, as the perpetrator, will likely be expelled, while her two friends will probably be asked to withdraw voluntarily.

Miss Caroline refused to admit her wrongdoing until the very end. If anything, she tried to pin the blame on Monica and make excuses.

(...Foolish.)

Just like the former treasurer who was expelled a short while ago, they fail to understand that this place is an extension of high society. They think their parents will simply throw money at any problem and make it go away.

(If money could buy trust, life would be easy... Every one of them is so shallow.)

Once Caroline had left the room and silence had returned, Isabelle Norton straightened her posture and bowed to Felix and Cyril.

"I apologize for subjecting Your Highness to such an unpleasant spectacle."

It was hard to believe this was the same woman who had been laughing so loudly just moments ago. Women were truly terrifying, Cyril thought.

Felix, however, responded with a gentle smile...
