Chen Ju immediately crouched down, ducking Jiang Zhou’s hand. He struggled to keep hold of the tray and said, “I’ll leave as soon as you’ve eaten!”

Jiang Zhou stopped trying to drive Chen Ju out. He walked past him, pulled out a chair, and sat down. Then he lit a cigarette and took a slow drag, his sharp gaze fixed on Chen Ju through the curling smoke, like a beast hunting its prey in the dead of night.

“What? Having another man isn’t enough for you? You still want me to bully you?” Jiang Zhou reeked of alcohol, and his words struck Chen Ju like blades, sparing him no mercy.
