The manager looked surprised. He glanced at Chen Ju, then at Jiang Zhou. The two of them didn’t look like brothers at all—not because of their looks, but because of their air. It was obvious at a glance that the man speaking was rich.

“It’s fine, it’s fine. I was worried about Little Chen and kept wondering what had happened to him. If I’d had his number, I would’ve called to check on him myself,” the manager said with a laugh.
Jiang Zhou took a business card from his pocket and handed it over. “If anything happens to my younger brother again, you can call me.”
“Sure thing~” The manager accepted the card. When he saw the name of the group printed on it, his eyes widened. He’d guessed the man was rich, but he hadn’t imagined he was the Jiang family’s eldest young master.
The palm on his back seemed to give him strength, and Chen Ju couldn’t help straightening his back as he looked at the man beside him.
Jiang Zhou was smiling. As if sensing Chen Ju’s gaze, he turned his head to look at him.
“It’s fine. Don’t worry. The manager’s a good person. He won’t give you a hard time.” Jiang Zhou patted Chen Ju’s back reassuringly.
“That’s right!” the manager hurriedly agreed. He carefully tucked the business card into his breast pocket, then walked up to Chen Ju with concern on his face. “Little Chen, you still don’t look too well. Why don’t you take another day to rest?”
Chen Ju froze, then hurriedly waved his hands. “N-no, thank you. I’m all better and can come to work as usual. Thank you, Manager.”...
