Chen Ju was stunned. From Zhou Xue’er’s tone, it seemed the matter was more complicated than he’d thought.

There was silence on the other end for a few seconds. Then Jiang Zhou’s cold voice came through. “You’re really so considerate.”
Thinking Jiang Zhou was praising him, Chen Ju replied bashfully, “It’s what I-I should do. It’s nothing.”...
