So Sweet

Chen Ju froze, his cheeks turning bright red as he stared blankly at the instant noodles on the chopsticks. He wasn’t dreaming, was he? Jiang Zhou was actually going to feed him?!

“Tsk. Open your mouth,” Jiang Zhou said, frowning in displeasure.

Chen Ju came back to his senses and shyly leaned forward, opening his mouth to take a very small bite. He was still chewing when Jiang Zhou picked up another bite, so he could only eat that one too.

“That’s enough. You can’t have any more,” Jiang Zhou said, setting down his chopsticks.

Chen Ju had been too shy and stiff to enjoy being fed by Jiang Zhou just moments ago. Now he regretted not eating more and was practically on the verge of tears.

Why had he eaten so little? He’d barely gotten a taste... He hadn’t even figured out what the instant noodles tasted like.

Jiang Zhou never went back on his word. He’d said Chen Ju could have two bites, and before Chen Ju even had a chance to drink any soup, the bowl of noodles had already been taken away.

Chen Ju watched helplessly as the bowl of instant noodles was carried away, his heart bleeding. Wasn’t it such a waste to stop eating after only a few bites?

“Drink your nourishing soup first.” Jiang Zhou set the large bowl of soup in front of Chen Ju. The servants had already begun serving the food, all of it light and nutritious.

Chen Ju stared at the soup bowl in front of him, which was almost bigger than his face. His stomach lurched. The soup was delicious, but he’d been drinking it every day for over a month. Now, just looking at it made him feel full...
