Are You Jealous?

“Brother Chen? What’s wrong? Your voice sounds strange.” Song Yuan’s worried voice came through the phone, but Chen Ju could no longer hear him. Leaning against Jiang Zhou, he panted softly, his mind a muddle and his gaze unfocused.

Jiang Zhou reached over, took Chen Ju’s phone, and hung up. He tossed it aside, then gripped Chen Ju by the waist and lifted him until he was straddling his lap, facing him.

Chen Ju hurriedly looped his arms around Jiang Zhou’s neck. Jiang Zhou’s handsome face filled his view. Those cool, indifferent eyes were like a bottomless lake; one glance was enough to draw him in and make it impossible to look away.

“I told you not to contact him again,” Jiang Zhou said in a low voice. His breath brushed Chen Ju’s face as he spoke, making it itch.

Chen Ju shrank his neck. His chest still felt hot and ticklish where Jiang Zhou had touched him, a very strange sensation.

“Song Yuan and I are just good friends.” Chen Ju gathered his courage and met Jiang Zhou’s gaze. “He’s helped me with so, so many things. You shouldn’t treat him like that.”

“Are you accusing me of beating him?” Jiang Zhou furrowed his brows, his gaze turning cold.

Chen Ju fell silent, his face paling slightly. The ambiguous atmosphere from moments ago had plunged to freezing point, and a chill radiated from Jiang Zhou.

Chen Ju curled his fingers and looked at Jiang Zhou gently, leaning in ingratiatingly to kiss him. Just as he was about to reach him, Jiang Zhou turned his head. The kiss landed at the corner of Jiang Zhou’s mouth, where a faint red mark showed from his earlier scuffle with Song Yuan.

Chen Ju stared at the split in Jiang Zhou’s lip, a faint ache welling up inside him. He pursed his lips and murmured, “D-does your wound still hurt?”...
