The Battle Begins!

We set out to hunt the kraken with all the forces we'd gathered.

We'd come up empty-handed on the first day, but on the second, we took Bell with us and headed out onto the lake.

I steered the boat in the direction Bell was staring.

Akira was willing to go along with the absurd idea of taking the Forest Cat's advice.

As before, nothing was visible on the lake, only its mirrorlike surface stretching out before us—but...

On the fish finder screen, I could see a bizarre shape.

Something like thick tree roots spread out like an open palm.

The body, as large as a mountain, appeared on the screen in colorful CG too.

"Akira! There it is!"...
