Elves Don't Like Slimes

While we were out on the lake, we headed for the elf settlement, but it was deserted.

The elves had completely disappeared, and as we wondered what was going on, we were attacked by transparent monsters.

According to Akira, these things were slimes.

Slimes were treated as weak enemies in games from my old world, but here they were pretty formidable foes—they wouldn't die if you cut them, fire barely hurt them, and magic was mostly ineffective.

We'd learned that we could damage them with electric shocks from the batteries I'd bought through Shangri-La, so we put our electric shock strategy into action.

We used cat litter containing silica gel and salt to immobilize the slimes, then finished them off with electric shocks.

Using this method, we took down fourteen slimes.

After checking that the area was safe, we decided to look for the elves.

“Akira, over that way.”
