Around Daria

I was heading to the sea as part of a plan to turn the Anis River—the great river that flowed through the kingdom—into a canal.

I had no idea whether it was even possible, but Marrow Trading Company had gotten behind my grand romantic pipe dream.

I trusted Marrow’s business instincts, so if we could actually put the canal to use, it would become a major asset for the Hamada domain.

To do that, we’d need to build a proper ship.

I’d heard the only place in the kingdom capable of building proper ships was Odamaki, a port town in the south.

We split up between two cars and set out for the sea.

We also decided to stop in Daria along the way, since I had a backlog of things to take care of there.

Since we’d come all the way to Daria, I wanted to visit some old acquaintances.

I went to the market with everyone, but when I looked behind me, Akira and Karludon were nowhere to be seen.
