Subjugation

The antlion's head had turned completely to sand. The erosion didn't stop there, spreading along its body.

The sandification of a living creature.

Even I couldn't believe I'd pulled it off. I didn't think this would actually work.

“Oops, I should leave a photo as evidence.”

I stopped the erosion around its midsection and took out my phone to snap a picture.

With its head gone, the thing finally went limp without even thrashing.

But because it was an insect, maybe? Its disgusting legs still twitched like convulsions.

“Ugh, seriously, what even is this thing….”

Unable to suppress my disgust, I poured more mana into it.

A few seconds later, only a giant sand dune remained before me. Anyone who didn't know better would think it was a sculpture...
