Zeus, with an awkward chuckle, subtly nudged the Golden Apple towards me, but I pretended not to notice. His attempt to pass the buck was infuriating.
"You seem troubled as well."
"Hmm. Borrowing another god's wisdom... my daughter, the Goddess of Wisdom, is after the apple herself."
So, he wanted my help as the impartial judge? He likely figured my decision would minimize further conflict among the goddesses.
"You're just passing the problem onto me, aren't you?"
"No, there's simply no one else to decide. Look over there."
Following his gaze, I saw the three goddesses still fixated on the apple. Their eyes, filled with possessiveness and pride, suggested they wouldn't give up easily.
"It's just… well, you’re more trustworthy than me, aren't you, brother? The Ares and Poseidon trial, and… you are the God of Justice."
"The fairest way would be to give it to Thetis, the bride. Or split the apple into three."
"Hmm…"...
